Dolly as a Registered Clinical Nurse, with a bachelors in Social Physiology, has always had an immense interest in skin care, make up and personal grooming. During her tenure at OSU Hospital she had Dolly’s Closet, a drop off point for the other nurses and staff to donate their gently used coats, clothing, etc. The purpose was to cloth and inspire her patients who were homeless and with out funds to reset their personal well-being and self esteem with a mini make-over.

Upon retiring from Ohio State University Hospital, and her long standing with the Nurses Health Study at Channing Laboratory, Harvard Medical School, and Brigham And Women’s Hospital, she completed her dream education at the Esthetic Skin Institute, Inc. As a Nurse Esthetician, in the use of AHA, BHA, TCA as Superficial Peeling Agents and the proper application techniques of Microdermabrasion, her mission became clear,” To enhance the inner beauty and radiance of the maturing woman of any age by using innovative skin care products and, if desired, the latest fashion forward cosmetics.

Dolly searched out a manufacturer that could produce the quality products that are cosmeceutical grade in purity and free of heavy fillers and pore-clogging ingredients. Jirimiah as a consultant was educated in the art of cosmetic science in Germany ( 4 year apprenticeship ) and 3050 hours in the USA, Jirimiah continued his career after winning the Coiffure de France qualifying him as a Master of the Arts in Cosmetic Science.

Meeting up with Dolly in 1980 it was love at first sight. "We think alike and we have very much the same ambitions."

Over the years we have owned salons near college campuses and in urban areas. We expanded in the direction of skin care and cosmetics and have created the specialty area of cosmeceutical skin care, and mineral make-up products. While looking for the name for these wonderful products, Dolly, being Italian felt that a personal touch was always the best way to evolve and that “ Sorella “ meaning sister in Italian was the connection she wanted for her and her clients.
